it’s RAW. . . like honey
Thanks for visiting! My name is Rachel Aston Warren {my pronouns are she/they}, I mostly go by RAW, and while those are my initials it’s not R-A-W; it’s raw…like honey.
I am proudly queer, and I identify as a pansexual femme dyke. I’m also open and outspoken about living with manic-depression/bipolar disorder. In addition to queer & trans rights and representation, I’m very passionate about social justice, reproductive rights, sex positivity & sex education, and mental health advocacy.
Raised primarily in the midwest, I currently live in Austin, which is the unceded land of the Comanche, Lipan Apache, Tonkawa, and Jumanos peoples, and others whose names we may or may not know. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Theatre and Dance ~ emphasis in Playwriting & Directing, and a minor in Italian. All of my self-published books can be found on Amazon.com under my full name, and the fifth & most recent one was just published September 2025! The first four are also at the Perry Castañeda Library on UT campus.
If reading new poems delights you, you can keep up with my writing on Substack.
At the end of 2022 I started a queer burlesque troupe, ErotiQueer BurlesQue, of which I am co-founder and front of house producer. I am also a dancer in the troupe, performing as Rebel Raspberry when on the burlesque stage.
